Amkss Trumpet Section!

Hello people! Firstly, why no one updated this blog!!! Nearing 2 months since the last post! Post people post! Post about preparing for phuket! Post about the pieces you guys are working on! Post about your exam results! Post about going to the toilet~! ANYTHING!! Don't let this blog die again! Secondly, congrats to the secondary fours and Geraldine on nearly completing their O level's. They like enjoying life now. Envious : ( My exams are coming up (starts tomorrow) and I'm not prepared at all. It's not fun seeing everyone going on holiday while you slug your guts for exams. But I end relatively quickly. 19 November. 20 November is concerto competition. I have no idea why I went to add extra baggage. So stupid. But for improvements' sake! I'm not ready yet. Haven't memorized the piece. Oh! Good news though. I scored 95 for my history essay mentioned on my previous post. Happy! That's like my only paper I'm confident in. Life in school has been get...

Joel Chua complained about people not updating the blog, so here I am! Yes, EOY is in a week's time and I'm sure some of us aren't preparing for it yet, like me >< Hope everyone does well! Moving on to updating y'all about the events that will be taking place/haven't been mentioned from the previous post, JBF took place on the 9th of September! Not too bad though. There wasn't any trumpet solo this year, booo!! Last year Joelle did great don't'ch'ya think so? :D But only Jing Kai and Yong Khang performed. Gabriel didn't, for don't know what reason lah. In June, we had Band Camp too! This year's was much more tiring than last year. First night we totally went "partying" around. Second day was pretty much uninteresting. At least, to me it was. LOL. So I was reading through the older posts and noticed that all our seniors type their posts in a particular color. Winston in red and Yu qing always in pink. So hard to see with our current background. I just thought it was interesting. Hahaha. Sigh. So anyway, I went to school today just for brass ensemble. And I have throat infection. AHHH!! Hurts like mad. But what can I do? Still have to play. Life of a music student. Also, my history essay is due on monday and I've yet to start on it! 1000 word essay on how to perform a baroque piece. SAY WHAT!? Actually is not I don't want to do, is that my batch mate took the only score of the piece I'm doing from the library. Sigh. Just asked him to photocopy for me. Hope he does so quickly. And I just found out I'm going to have a performance on monday! Monday is going to be so busy!!! History lecture, choir, ensemble rehearsal then concert! Damn. Oh! And principal studies ( Tutoring ) after that. No time for lunch or dinne...

LOL. Just felt like looking at blogs and realized how dead blogs are these days. God. I mean afterall, we do have twitter, facebook and google +. Anyone uses google +? I don't. Blogger has changed so much man. Ok. Anyway, in this blog post, I'll be updating on the events that have happened this year. So, O level results. Zixin did awesomely well! YAY! Stupid girl cry some more. And I did not do as well as I expected, as such, Zixin and I weren't schoolmates anymore :_( So, Zixin is in TJ suffering now and I'm enrolled in NAFA, playing mah TRUMPET~! Ok! First major event of 2012, AMKSS Esplanade concert, which I have no idea is called what. For me, I played in the Alumni band and the big band. It was quite the experience for me, I must say, firstly, being in alumni band and secondly, playing in a jazz band setting. Had our second section bbq at downstair Yuqing/my house! Before that.. the sec 3 went for batch outing @kbox..diaso..and i dont know! haha While the sec 4 went to buy birthday presents & cake for march babies! BBQ was good! All the sec 1 came (but none of the sec 2 was here), and most importantly, MANY FOOD! After eating, the current trumpet section went to play games like scissors paper stone, while the alumnis continued eating/ having heart-to-heart talk (germaine&yanling haha) At the end of the bbq, we celebrated birthday of dominic, Tian Wei, Wendy, Germaine & Winston! Also, Special thanks to Yu Qing for organising this gathering! :)
