the iona college arrived at our school at about 5 o'clock on monday evening. i was so excited!!! haha..! we gathered in the ava room and we watched a video about our school. then, it was tour time. i took my trumpet section on a tour around the school. my mighty and wonderful section consists of: david(my great buddy), daniel, tom, thomas and paul. they were awesome! i introduced them to the library, the home economics room, the science labs, our classrooms, the heritage galary, the science hub, the gym, the games room, our staff room and hod room, the dnt block, our canteen and our hall. then we went back to the ava room for a chat to know each other more as there was still 10 mins to spare.
next, we played icebreakers. we played the names... i found it rather stupid. lol... then it was double wacko! that was fun! i'm sure they enjoyed. we had fun wacking more though. then, it was time for dinner. dinner was alright. they asked me stuffs like," what is tofu?" i couldn't answer! lol... none of us in the section actually knows=P
later was games again. we played squarrel and tree... a kind of primary school game. next was the obstacle course... it was rather fun. then time for water bomb. i wasn't involved in it at first... but i got bomb twice and someone who wanted to pour a pail of water at jun xian, aimed it at me too=\ i was WET! hahas...
finally, it was shower time! i took a nice rather short shower. i felt so refresh..! then it was bedtime. i didn't really have a good night's rest. i usually sleep at 2 or 3am and now i have to sleep by 12am! i couldn't sms either as layting was just sleeping beside me. i woke up at 2am and 5am in the morning... couldn't sleep at all. the girls slept in the musicroom instead of the usual bandroom. the floor was so hard that my back ached so much the next day.
i was woken up by ting's alarm the next day morning at about 5.45am... was feeling rather tired. BUT after the thought that we're gonna host the iona guys made me excited and awake. haha! had a quick bath... the water was freezing! then, we reported to the bandroom. later, we went down to the canteen to get our partners, david. his awesome=) then, i took him with me to flag raising. everybody was staring at them. haha... its normal. all the girls are so interested in them and they never stopped looking.
had double maths. david sat on my left and casslynn sat on my right. we were doing group work for trigo. it really sucked... i didn't know how to do anything!=\ and david seemed to have forgotten how to do too. haha... in the end, jun xian's buddy, brad, taught us=) maths was a little boring.
next, we had double chemistry. all of us went to the lab. did 4 experiments together with david and jason. it was fun! had loads of fun together..! david broke a thermometer! lol...! then, it was time for recess. ting and i bought food for david, chris(ting's buddy) and andrew(sally's buddy) we bought quite alot of things. but they only liked the char siew bao and the siew mai. *opps*
then, it was double physics lessons. went to the physics lab... sat with david. sally and andrew were behind us and ting and chris were beside sally and andrew. had so much fun in the lab. laughed till my sides hurt. lessons were so boring that andrew, instead of copying down what mr guang had wrote on the board, started drawing at the back of his worksheet. his drawing rocks! then, he drew mr guang! it was great! haha... so funnie! chris and ting set up the circuit as drawn on the diagram. david and i shared the same experiment as they were not enough apparatus. then, chris decides to turn this thing(i don't know what its called) to 12v!!! er... we didn't know what to expect and it took so long for change to happen, so we thought it was a great idea and its worth a try. hahas... but nothing happened.
last period of the day, english. it was david's favourite subject. we played puzzles in groups. we had to look at some pictures to guess some idioms. i was hard... had quite some fun! alvin and terence had a nice chat with him and they got his email before he left.
we went to macdonald's for lunch. it was flooding with people.we called for a take away and went back to school to enjoy our food. had a nice long chat with eating. they claimed that they are many pretty girls in singapore... but their just too short! lol...
then, we went back to the bandroom. all of them were having fun, playing some games in the bandroom. rui shan, grace, shi mei and i went to j8 to get them presents. we bought those kinda d.i.y flowers and this "board" thing where u get to paste letters on it. we bought: trumpets! hahas... trumpets simply rocks!
after that, we went back to school to make our present. we wrote our messages for them and we finished just on time for the concert. weiqin and her friends came! i passed her the present and she loved it alot! *feels proud of myself* she says its the 1 she wanted=P the concert rawks! the solo by tom was wonderful too! and the other solos by david and tom... they were great! the trumpet section was so cool! especially the particular song where they took our their mouthpieces to buzz on them. they were just so cute! haha…! they even got us to dance and sing. the concert really rocks!
after the concert, we gave our presents to our buddies. I passed mine to david and since I couldn’t find winston, I pass his present to daniel for him. he gave me a big hug for that.=P then, all of us took section pictures. then, I took individual photos, first with david, then daniel and lastly tom from the trombone section. after that, we helped with the cleaning and packing up.
when they finished packing, it was time for them to leave. all of us ran to the foyer to send them off. it was so sad! I didn’t want them to leave!!! I couldn’t bear it!!! I hope to see them again.! the iona band simply rocks! I love them so much=D
