today a few of us went out ! me kai chlo ryry and caicai. LOL names by ryry. anyway our plan was sectionals movie dinner.
so we brought our instruments! we went to the open field outside djitsunmall and played!!! HAHAHAHA. q cool right! then i took them for sectionals and it started to rainnnnn :((. then we opened umbrellas and still played. but the rain got heavier so we went to the shelter beside there and play HAHAHA. then it stopped raining then jinkai and ryry went back to the field. it was a good experience. and finally manage to play somewhere thats not my hse again. sucks to play at home. then when we packed up we walked back to amkh and we met dominic at the central! then we talked for abit and we went our separate ways.
then we went to watch movie (jumanji2!). jinkai ryan and caiyee went to buy snacks fm ntuc while me and chloe went to starbucks. since their drinks had 50% off today the q was soooo long. but we still made it in time for the movie. when we went in the movie just started. so lucky us :)) but there was so little bag space on the floor bcos of the tpts LOL.
aft movie we said byebye to ryry and we went for dinner at mos. but i had to leave after awhile. today was a good experience tho. like i alw wanted to play outside of school. and yay! damn cool. idt there will b anym experiences like this for me tho. till next time :-).

Saw the juniors posting a lot these days! very proud of them. Tho they also recorded down how we made them keep the instruments for us after alumni band HAHAHI shall contribute my share too! Honestly speaking my memory is failing me (i cannot even remember what time we end band last time) so this will be for memory keepsake too. So in June 2011 we had my first (that I can remember) section outing to Sentosa.  Attendance as seen in the picture above. And the highlight of the outing as seen below  Us being in the waters, while Glenn or Yan Qian (my memory fails me) made all of us fled the waters after being bitten by a fish. And also Yu Qing giving us sex education while we all soaked in the waters in a circle. Those were the days when we were the teens while the alumnis in their twenties joined us. This time we are the alumnis in our twenties :')  2 years later we had another Sentosa adventure in Dec 2013! All I could remember was Jing Kai (he looks so different in the photo!) bringing lots of Yakult and us building a sand trumpet That was the last Sentosa outing I could remember? We did things like the usual CNY gathering at Joel's but nothing too involved with the outdoors.  With courtesy of Joylyn, and Joel's incessant nagging for her to organise one, we just had another Sentosa outing yesterday! Weather forecast was pretty sure that it would rain but thank all lords it didn't. All we did was watch the dark clouds loom the beach next to ours LOL We all agreed to meet at Harbourfront station at 1pm. However, we all went out separate ways to buy foods so we gathered only slightly later. Did groceries shopping with Joel first and the old souls in us didn't want unhealthy food HAHA. Bought bananas, grapes, roasted chicken and sushi. ALL PROPER FOOD Met up with the kids at the Express tram area and joined their Family Style game which was quite entertaining but so hectic HAHHA think the entire floor could hear us screaming "I NEED THE *inserts ingredient*" on repeat. After everyone arrived we headed to the Emerald Beach @ Siloso Beach, gobbled up the food. Dominic baked Japanese curry flavoured macaroons (which I loved because it's not too sweet) and brownies. Thank you Dom Dom! After filling up our stomachs, we hit the sand with our frisbee! Me sucks at sports and the last time I played frisbee in uni I got hit in the nose and essentially ended the entire game with a bloody nose HAHA #trauma But hey! I caught the frisbee twice okay! In the first game, my team comprised of Joel, Derek, Cai Yee, Sharlene and Jin Kai (I hope I spelled all your names right, all your IG names are confusing man). The first thing Joel commented is "OMG WHY MY TEAM ALL SO SHORT" HAHAHHA ultimately we lost 1 to 10 but at least we scored once! Derek is our MVP man running everywhere with Joel while the girls eye power best power. The other team has Phoebe, Douglas and Yee Jin (?) which are all tall and fit?! At one point we had like 10 hands trying to block Douglas (the goal) but that with that 20 cm height advantage WHO CAN BLOCK HIM?! took a break and the ancestor, Glenn arrived! With beer not less. Enabled the kids to drink some (only some I hope) will not say who or what age... and the rest continued round two of frisbee which I sat out because, weak. By then Justine just finished her presentation and was very hesitant to meet us because Sentosa is quite a distance away. Gave her a moral push by whatsapping her "LAI JUST COME" and YAYY she did! Chit chatted, played more frisbee and we went to wash up at around 6 plus. Took a super painful bus ride out of the beach station which we had to alight at RWS. Glenn, Justine and I walked super fast back to Vivo in hopes of buying us some time to get Old Chang Kee because the hunger is real. By the time we reached AMK it was already 9pm I think. Ate zichar and went to sing k from 11pm to 2am! then Glenn kor kor fetched us all back. THANK YOU GLENN~  Very thankful to have met these people, even those who are not captured in the photo. Really miss the days we devote all our hours to band and less to adulting :') It has been long since I had such a high-intensity outing (I love nuaing at home, dont judge) and i really missed it! wow last day of the slackest band camp ever. im just gna say all the small things that happened. so we were done w bfast then chloe and derek went to talk. jinkai and arielle disappeared into thin air. poof. me caiyee and ryan were just talking. then we were walking up tgt then we saw derek and chloe then we were like okay lets go the other direction and let them talk. but they started following us cos they were done. then like we went to lvl 1 those tables beside 1a1 and we were like just talking and stuff. we put ryan on the spot and asked him whose his fav senior. he made his directs put our heads down as he was scared that the other two wld b sad. then he pointed and made caiyee tell us. LOL. and it was me thanks ryry;D. dont be jealous guys! he loves yall too HAHAH. then we made him rank all the snrs 😎. BHhahahhaha. then we started singing and stuff all the way while we walked back up to the bunks. then me and derek had to rush to the br for the auditor. ryan and jinkai came too then they just played uno. s2-3 band was good. i rly think that the trumpet section is starting to sound better. even mr koh said so himself! :D yay!! sadly the day ended q early at 130pm. ok let me list the pros and cons of the section in my last ever band camp.cons: - jinkai and caiyee not happy w each other - alot ppl in the section were v sad - not the whole section bonded together pros: - caiyee and ryan mended their misunderstandings from one week ago ( and they got closer ! ) - chloe and derek made up and talked - ryan got alot closer to the section - playing improved alot for SB

day 2 was the slackest day of the slackest. whole of first night i didnt even sleep at all and i had gastric or sth. :-(. ms ong bought for all the excos coffee HEHEE. but i was feeling like damn unwell uh. we had SHIT for breakfast. like it literally tasted soooo bad. i didnt wna eat anym. teacher found out i was sick then ask me sleep in bunk first. i didnt want to tho. or i wld hv to miss band. but they forced me :>. but i felt better after that. i think i managed to get 2h of sleep then. during s3 band mr koh kicked everyone out other than clarinets and trumpets. wow. amazing!games : ok rzn why i said its so slak. our day literally ended at 3pm. after that games, movies and bbq. games was very badly done. we first had cup pong. but inside the cups had forfeits and points. so i had to go and paste the last point for the next game and i didnt get to watch. but they said that ryan sang baby shark and i missed it :”(. demmit. but ya the next game was treasure hunt. and the game was very badly planned. they wanted ppl follow a specific route but they allow ppl steal other groups one?? then like ppl see a clue they just randomly take. then nvr follow what. so like i really think is damn bad planning by the excos. just my thoughts la. and also the main point was 100 points and it was hidden damn well. and ofc i knew where it was cos i hid it. then like i kept seeing caiyees group. so i wanted to help them too cos the game alrdy so jialut. then i tell her go library. then she went there and kept tryi ng to find. (she was late to report back cos she blind ass cant find it) i alrdy moved the potted plants away and the paper was so obv and she literally stared at the spot but didnt see it. then i gave up and waited for derek and aidan to walk away. then i quickly pointed at it and zao. then obv her grp win lor HAHAHHA. welcome. the prizes were trash tho. lol. but anyw the games were trash and badly planned 🤷🏻♀️. and oops caiyee cheated. tsk she naughty!! bbq : everyone sat in their own gaming group and excos sat w thmselves. me and krystal just sat there while everyone else was bbqing then we just tske the food XD. i kept walking ard. the satays were damn good. then we roasted marshmellowwsss. at first i didnt but caiyee ask me help her then i do lor HAHA. i made them into smore’s #smore. but there was no choc inside just roasted marshmellow. HAHHAA. nearing the end of bbq i just took like the gooey roasted marshmellow w my hands and like go ard cleaning it on people HEHEHE. ok bbq nth much just bbq only. but good experience w the school la movie : bad. bad. bad. so we wanted to watch kimi no na wa. then abit into the movie a scene where taki first found out his in mitsuhas body was shown. then he went to grope her bsksjsms. ya then cheryl ang offed everyth. turned off the comp connecting the movie thingy to vidualiser. then was like tf? then she got so worked up over a 10s scene. and wanted to fast forward 40 mins into the movie. like urm whT? shes gna do thr for 40mins isit?? lol. then she wanted to change movie. then i was like whtever then i just told the whole section go out so we can talk. but then like derek was upset and i wanted to know why and i knew he wldnt tell the section so i walked behind w him first and like just talked to him. then the rest went somewhere else but only caiyee and ryan and arielle talked ah. the others :>. but ya. it was worth talking to derek. cos now at least tht led his problems to allow me to discuss w him and now him and chloe have solved their problem (i hope). like they managed to talk it out ah. so thats good. then cheryl ang found out we all gone and was looking for us so we went back then she angst lor. but whatever. when we went back innotech me caiyee and ryan bonded and talked alot :D. we also talked to the perc s1-2. they q nice ahaha. it was a good bonding sesh w them :). im one day late in posting oops. haha :> -sharrrr!! 🎺🎺🎺

its literally 1.52am while im writing this. im so tired. meh today was v chill. and tmr gna b even more chill. so ya. today i had to go sch soooo early in the morn :”(. exco meeting HAHA. but honestly we hardly got anyth done. before sch i just bot like 3 cups of starbuks for me chloe and derek XD. yEET. tutoring was mehh. many of yall nvr meet his expectations ahhh :<<. pls work harder guys:(. idw to graduate w hving a bad section. partly my fault also la. sian. ok anyw RYAN ATE WO WAITING FOR SL :O. naughty. but dinner he waited so yay i guess :D.OH YA ALUMNIS CAME BACK! legend, weiwei and yEEEt jin cameee:D. wah legend give me alot stress. idk why also HAHAHHA. like i sit beside him i feel too noob then i dont dare play 😅. sorry:-(. but i promised him next time he come back i will b able to play my jap graf 21 top D LOL. ok ill try my best okay. :)). idw disappoint u so i will practice 40 hours a day like Ling Ling! ;D. okay. sian im v tired. wah when yijin was gna leave i was so sad :”(. idk why also haha. i felt like when he say he was gna leave alrdy and he cldnt come tmr i alrdy was gna cry HAHHAHAHAHAHHAHAHA. then like a few seconds before he left i started crying HAHA. idk why im a v emotional person :”). sian but hes such a bz guy now. but will b nice if section can meet up like at least once every two months ? cos alot bz schedule HAHA:”(. but meet up :D. trumpet section 2019: some of yr tones r not v good. yall rly need to buck up. ik this camp is q slack and everyth. but doesnt mean tht yall cant work hard by urselves. cos alw remember. 1% talent, 99% hardwork. H A R D W O R K. as lokg as yall r willing to put in the effort, not just in sectionals and full band but outside of it as well. like on the bus just learn ur fingerings. when u go bathe go learn. when u gg somewhere u learn. like simple thi ng s ah. pieces go hear recordings and look at ur score. if need hep can alw ask me uh :D. i rly rly want yall to improve alot. okay :D. jiayous guyss. i know u all can do it one. as long as u put in effort. oh ya. today i was laughing at chloe and derek then the mute was below me then i was laughing damn badly then i hit my head on the mute the hole and now it hurts like crap :(. theres a bump HAHAHA. ok i find i v lo so. (how spell?). i still dont know if im writing blogs correctly AHHAA. anyw ya. if yall read it. well done :). and alumnis pls come back and visit us more often :). thanks. of course, there is alw pictures!!

ystday i cldnt sleep. just lay in bed until 1+ then finally managed to fall asleep. then still got band 🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️. sians sia. went for band like 20mins early. only me and jinkai were there on time. everyone else was late. im disappointed. i tried to do sth diff today tho. i made all of them go down to the field and blast. but there was lightning risk alert and we just started so i ignored it ;D. nth happened dont worry. but then DM came down and called us to go to a room cos noosy and teachers hving meeting. so 🤷🏻♀️🙃. then we had tutoring! i cld finally memorise my 2 octaves Ab,A and Bb. yay. but my B major was bad. lol. so mr lun told me to revise that agn. my double buzzing today was even worse today. mr lun told me to stop free buzzing. cos it affects. so ya im gna stop. there was extra time so we had SB combined tutoring. we did MARCH BLUE SKY! i was quite happy w my playing today. i did some indi before the combined tutoring and when mr lun did it w us i managed to play everyth he asked :D. but i need to help my section w the piece. they need more help. overall today was q okay. jiayous trumpets!

ITS JBF 2019!! its my first and last time taking my direct juniors for jbf!! wow. just two years ago, yijin brought my batch to jbf. i remember being very excited. and this year i was as excited.
8-9 months practicing and training for this performance has finally paid off. ryry and rahrah if yall are reading this, you both did well for jbf. i am rly proud of both of u 🤪. i hope that i have been a good senior to you both and taught u well.
i feel that jbf today went quite well. both of you seemed to have grown closer since the start of the year. i am really really happy for that. i hope that both of you will be able to bond well in future.
my trump socks damn cool right;) keep playin w his hair HAHHAHA. ohya. we played truth or dare and derek was being so uGHHH. we dared him to tell the scgs girl that she was cute and he took like 10mins but he still did not do it ;<. uGh. then i said ok fine go to the st andrews guy and touch him and say “im gay” but u didnt even touch him LOL. then he said “there are many fishes in the sea, girls can come and * * *” im not gna type that 🌚🌚🌚.

both of you were not as anxious as i thought u wld be honestly HAHA. but yall played well. just abit of intonation problems but the rhythm and everything was alright. so thats good i guess :D. i hope that both of you enjoyed your very first performance:)). i hope now u are more motivated to have more performances :)) hehe.
ok those aside. when the bands went to take pictures me and elyse went out cos ofc she wanted to find her joseph law zen en (hi if ur reading this btw). then joseph like actually talked to derek more?? HAHHAHA. we saw aroof and troy too!! there was hardly any time for pictures and everyth was such a mess HAHA. joseph passed me a conductor score for cmc and stapled alot of repeat bars on it 🙄HAHHAHA. thanks tho for spending ur time on repeat bars LOL. they are all cool kids HEHE. i was lying. they suck. ;)
then ofc theres the jbf section dinner aft the jbf w direct chain. but this year the jbf dinner is with no jb. LOL. HAHAHAHA. basically only me chloe derek yijin doug and avi came HAHA. we ate at mookata :D we bought the $1.20 bread and biscuit ice cream thing from the ice cream trucks and chloe dripped all over herself. AGAIN. HAHAHHA. then we went to this place where there was a three player air hockey with two karaoke thingys. we had alot of fun. and chloe treated us to thai milk tea ice cream from macs cos she lost the air hockey HEHEHEH. thanks chloe.

i dont know how to use this thing. HAHA. ok so today the alumnis came back to perform for the homecomingggg and me and chloe really wanted to watch it. but the BAND teachers caught us and said we cldnt stay back and tried to chase us out of our OWN school! like what even?? they said that we should not be there as only alumnis are invited. but so many teachers were there too so its not really just for alumnis????? so they said we had to leave immediately. but me and chloe already stayed since like 9 in the morning and we made it until so long and they wna chase us out ;<. but they wldnt hv caught us if tsx didnt tell her uGHHHH. but lion was very nice and when we were otw up we talked to him and he told us which staircase would have teachers and how to escape them. then we never had that convo. he also told us and gave us tips :))). such a great teacher. then me and chloe went to br and took out bags. over there we saw mr brando tan and we told him all about the teachers trying to chase us out. then he was like “yall shld sneak” , “i did not see you all here”. why every adult figure suddenly so nice to us HAHHAHA. like honestly none of the teachers care. its only that ONE BAND TEACHER that kept trying to chase us out. obv we didnt go and we stayed in sch. duhh we wanted to watch alumni band perf HAHA. so we put our bags at level 3 and by that time it was already very dark. chloes friend cane to join us and we were still at level 3. but when the band started playing the sound from where we were was SOOOOO muffled and we could hardly hear anything. so i walked to the place nearer to them and went to lvl 2 where we could see at least half of the tpt section. we just hid behind the circle grill thingy idk what its called. alumni band sounds like damn good and legends solo is amazing!! i cant wait for the time i get to play with them. but i dont sound that good and later i cant play well playing with their standard HAHAH. then aft that we went back to the br and the snrs asked us to pack their instruments 🎺:D. at first we wanted dinner with the alums but my mum said NOPE and i went home for dinner instead. but today was a really cool day and thanks legend for teaching me how to have a bigger sound and find the center of the note :)). ok is this how a blog works? idont know. but ya if u read thru this boring thing then good for u 😝. maybe ill update this blog more in future and keep it alive like wendy and joel said to. ok bye urm idk how to end do i sign off? ok urm

Hello people!Firstly, why no one updated this blog!!! Nearing 2 months since the last post! Post people post! Post about preparing for phuket! Post about the pieces you guys are working on! Post about your exam results! Post about going to the toilet~! ANYTHING!! Don't let this blog die again! Secondly, congrats to the secondary fours and Geraldine on nearly completing their O level's. They like enjoying life now. Envious : ( My exams are coming up (starts tomorrow) and I'm not prepared at all. It's not fun seeing everyone going on holiday while you slug your guts for exams. But I end relatively quickly. 19 November. 20 November is concerto competition. I have no idea why I went to add extra baggage. So stupid. But for improvements' sake! I'm not ready yet. Haven't memorized the piece. Oh! Good news though. I scored 95 for my history essay mentioned on my previous post. Happy! That's like my only paper I'm confident in. Life in school has been getting better because I'm more comfortable and I have more friends! Yay! No longer a loner! Please please organize section outing! Best if can do with xin min! I've also been seeing them more than you guys! Never jio me out! We can go someone's house to steamboat or barbecue! Then mahjong! Section recreational activity! Dk why I had been having this image of playing mahjong with the xin min peeps. Like 2 tables and 2 amksians and xinmin peeps at each table. I too stressed in school already! Alright! Joel Chua complained about people not updating the blog, so here I am! Yes, EOY is in a week's time and I'm sure some of us aren't preparing for it yet, like me >< Hope everyone does well! Moving on to updating y'all about the events that will be taking place/haven't been mentioned from the previous post, JBF took place on the 9th of September! Not too bad though. There wasn't any trumpet solo this year, booo!! Last year Joelle did great don't'ch'ya think so? :D But only Jing Kai and Yong Khang performed. Gabriel didn't, for don't know what reason lah. In June, we had Band Camp too! This year's was much more tiring than last year. First night we totally went "partying" around. Second day was pretty much uninteresting. At least, to me it was. Third day the secondary fours came back to help the secondary threes! playing alongside with them. Then we had section dinner! FOOOOD :panyway, just in case some alumis don't know yet, the new ex cos are: Drum Major - Koo Lay Siong (in my opinion, immature - not saying that i am better, maybe?) Band Major Admin - Nicholas Yeo (okay bahhhh) Band Major Music - Fauzi (needs to be more confident when conducting and project his voice!) Secretary - Rayna Uniform QM - Zeng Ying Instrument QM - Wei Xuan Librarians - Shu Zhen (jiayous!) and Carrine TRUMPET's SL............................................. LIM ZHI YONG! :D Zhi Yong definitely improved a lot in the past 9 months! keep on going!! :D oh ya, welcome! -i changed the blogskin- i felt this was okay (?) any feed backs, you may post it on the facebook page :D upcoming major event will be the trip to Phuket trip in December! :D I'm like super excited! I haven't taken a plane in a really long time. But we're going there for a festival and there will be a "competition" where we'll be awarded just like how they do in SYFs. Hope the secondary fours will come! I miss them )': But it will cost like maybe $1000 plus cause we'll be staying at Hilton Hotel! :D Since we're going for the festival, we apparently have to stay in the hotel there too! Plus there will be maybe 2 buses that will be following us 24 hours, and all meals will be included all well, thus the price of $1000 plus. XinMin and Commonwealth will be joining us too! But most likely different planes and stuff (?) cause different schools have different budgets too. This trip will be like a pre-SYF thing. So, just pray that we'll do well! LOL. So I was reading through the older posts and noticed that all our seniors type their posts in a particular color. Winston in red and Yu qing always in pink. So hard to see with our current background. I just thought it was interesting. Hahaha. Sigh. So anyway, I went to school today just for brass ensemble. And I have throat infection. AHHH!! Hurts like mad. But what can I do? Still have to play. Life of a music student. Also, my history essay is due on monday and I've yet to start on it! 1000 word essay on how to perform a baroque piece. SAY WHAT!? Actually is not I don't want to do, is that my batch mate took the only score of the piece I'm doing from the library. Sigh. Just asked him to photocopy for me. Hope he does so quickly. And I just found out I'm going to have a performance on monday! Monday is going to be so busy!!! History lecture, choir, ensemble rehearsal then concert! Damn. Oh! And principal studies ( Tutoring ) after that. No time for lunch or dinner. Why my life so hectic... Just to let you guys know, music college is not an easy way out! Of course it's easier than JC lah. I think I might blog occasionally to let you guys know what music college is like. I guess that is all for now! Study hard for your upcoming exams!!! Do well! LOL. Just felt like looking at blogs and realized how dead blogs are these days. God. I mean afterall, we do have twitter, facebook and google +. Anyone uses google +? I don't. Blogger has changed so much man. Ok. Anyway, in this blog post, I'll be updating on the events that have happened this year. So, O level results. Zixin did awesomely well! YAY! Stupid girl cry some more. And I did not do as well as I expected, as such, Zixin and I weren't schoolmates anymore :_( So, Zixin is in TJ suffering now and I'm enrolled in NAFA, playing mah TRUMPET~! Ok! First major event of 2012, AMKSS Esplanade concert, which I have no idea is called what. For me, I played in the Alumni band and the big band. It was quite the experience for me, I must say, firstly, being in alumni band and secondly, playing in a jazz band setting. It was quite an honor playing in alumni band, I mean, afterall, when I was still a wee boy of 14, I looked up to our seniors. ALOT! And being able to play with them brought me alot of joy. As for jazz band, jazz is something I really really love. Jazz band was just fun, Fun, FUN! Anyway, here are some photos.  Preparing for the concert.  My daughter and I! I really love this photo.  Alumni Section.  This here, is the Guan Yin Mute. If you have any concerts, print this out, make into tablet and wear for good luck. LOL.  Oh! Who's that chio bu! Brendan complimented Yan ling and she damn ps. Hahaha. I guess the next big thing for the section was the Big band concert with Ruam Smai Big band. They were very good. I felt that we go there throw face sia. But nonetheless, I guess the main point was to have fun and learn. I think that was accomplished. More photos!  Group Photo.  The trumpeters!  And a cute singer! Best moment of that night! Next was band dinner. I crashed to see my batchmates graduate! Everything was so fast!!! Time is such a banana! I think this was when I finally got to see the sec ones! Photos photos photos!  Did I mention? The section has grown so much that now during band dinner, we need 2 tables! Say WHAT!? Up next was nomad! I don't have any photos of nomad. But I went and it was... Different. I don't know. Somehow, it felt like there wasn't much to do this nomad. Lastly, is Katakura High band exchange. I think we all had a great time? They folded origami for us and they were really good!  - Joel Exco members

     Section BBQ 2011
          Had our second section bbq at downstair Yuqing/my house! Before that.. the sec 3 went for batch outing @kbox..diaso..and i dont know! haha  While the sec 4 went to buy birthday presents & cake for march babies! BBQ was good! All the sec 1 came (but none of the sec 2 was here), and most importantly, MANY FOOD! After eating, the current trumpet section went to play games like scissors paper stone, while the alumnis continued eating/ having heart-to-heart talk (germaine&yanling haha) At the end of the bbq, we celebrated birthday of dominic, Tian Wei, Wendy, Germaine & Winston! Also, Special thanks to Yu Qing for organising this gathering! :) |
